Chun Zhao

Chun Zhao (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2009, the M.Sc. degree from Imperial College London, London, U.K., in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2016. From April 2015 to March 2016, he was a full-time Research Scientist with Sharp Laboratories of Europe, Oxford, U.K. From April 2016 to August 2018, he was with the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., as a Research Associate in MEMS. From September 2018 to December 2021, he was with the School of Physics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he was an Associate Professor. Since February 2022, he has been a Lecturer in microengineering with the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of York, York, U.K. His research interests include high-resolution MEMS sensors, MEMS resonators, and new materials for MEMS and new physics for MEMS (e.g., modal interactions and nonlinear effects). Dr. Zhao currently serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Sensors Journal and has served as an Invited Reviewer for several top journals in the field, including IEEE Journal of Micrelectromechanical Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems—I: Regular Papers.
