Christopher Lear

Christopher is a developing clinician-scientist, who's research focuses on understanding the fetal adaptation to perinatal asphyxia and the subsequent neural injury when these adaptations fail. He has a strong interest in finding markers that can predict the failure of fetal adaptations which will allow clinical intervention before injury develops. He additionally is interested in the effects of clinical factors on fetal adaptations and injury, and in developing new neuroprotective treatments.
