Christophe J. Le Martret (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Rennes, France, in 1963. He received the Ph.D. degree in signal processing and communications and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) degree from the University of Rennes 1, Rennes, in 1990 and 2010, respectively. From 1991 to 1995, he was with the CESTA, Bruz, France. From 1996 to 2002, he was with the Centre d’Électronique de L’ARmement (CELAR). From 1999 to 2000, he was a Visiting Researcher with the SpinCom Laboratory, Department of ECE, University of Minnesota, MN, USA. Since 2002, he has been working with Thales SIX GTS France, France. Since 2007, he has been holds a thales expert position in the field of wireless communications. His current research interests include radio access design with cross-layer optimization for ad hoc mobile networks, cognitive radio, and machine learning. These topics cover: multi-user access, radio resource allocation, HARQ, dynamic spectrum management, distributed multi-agent systems, network clustering, high-fidelity simulations, and reinforcement learning. In 2012, he was qualified for full professorship (qualification).
