Christoffer Heckman (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical and applied mechanics from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, in 2012. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, University of Colorado at Boulder and the Jacques I. Pankove Faculty Fellow with the College of Engineering and Applied Science. His research interests include autonomy, perception, and field robotics.
