Christof Lorenz is a postdoctoral researcher at the Campus Alpin of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He studied Geodesy and Geoinformatics at the University of Stuttgart. After that, Christof Lorenz did his PhD in the field of climate and environmental sciences at the University of Augsburg. During his doctoral research, he investigated the performance of global hydrometeorological datasets and data assimilation approaches for improving the description of the water cycle. The focus of his current work is the development of hydrometeorological data fusion approaches, especially for seasonal predictions. Since March 2017, he also coordinates the project Seasonal Water Resources Management in Semiarid Regions: Application-oriented Transfer of Regionalized Global Information (SaWaM).
