Bio
The general aim of our research is to characterize survival and death mechanisms in eukaryotic cells. One of our main current focuses is on a stress-sensing molecular device made of the caspase-3/p120RasGAP pair that allows cells determining whether they should survive or die (see our recent review in Trends in Cell Biology). We also work on HDL-mediated pancreatic beta cell survival and on an anti-cancer RasGAP-derived peptide.
