Chris Sigler (M’11) was born in Detroit, MI, USA, in 1990. He received the B.S. degree in computer engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in 2018. His graduate studies focused on the simulation and fabrication of quantum cascade lasers (QCLs), particularly on high-power QCL phase-locked arrays and grating-coupled surface-emitting QCLs.
