Chao Lyu

Chao Lyu tries to use seismic data to probe the deep structure of the earth based on computational seismology. Now he is working on the forward modeling of the acoustic and elastic wave equation by the spectral element method (SEM), the distributional finite difference method (DFDM), and the Full waveform inversion. Recently, he is developing "box tomography" to improve the resolution of the existing tomography model.
