Bio
Chan-Shan Yang (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree from the Department of Photonics the M.S. degree from the Institute of Electro-Optical (EO) Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2008 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics, National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Hsinchu, in 2014. He was a Visiting Scholar with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, CA, USA, an Assistant Scientist with NTHU, and a Postdoctoral Scholar with the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Institute and Undergraduate Program of EO Engineering, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). He has authored and coauthored more than 28 journal papers in Science, Nature Physics, Physics Review A, Applied Physics Letters, Optics Letters, Optics Express, Journal of Applied Physics, Journal of Chemical Physics, and IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics. His research interests include ultrafast and terahertz photonics, graphene (and 2-D materials) optoelectronics, nonlinear optics, and liquid crystal physics.
