PhD in Sciences by the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 1991, currently is a Full Professor at the same institution, acting also as advisor at the Graduate Program in Geosciences of UFRGS (PPGGeo/UFRGS). Researcher from the Federal Agency for the Development of Science in Brazil (CNPq - Category 1-C). Has experience in the area of Geosciences, with emphasis on Vertebrate Paleontology, Bioestratigraphy and Vertebrate Taphonomy, working mainly in the Late Permian-Triassic interval. Develops projects that aim to publicize the Permian/Triassic vertebrates of RS, with emphasis on their digital reconstitutions.
