C. Garcia

Carlos Garcia received the B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in applied physics from the University of Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain, in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree (summa cum laude) in material physics from the University of the Basque Country, Leioa, Spain, in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Fulbright Fellow and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with the Department of Material Science and Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA. In 2010, he joined the Department of Physics, Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, where he became an Associate Professor. Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Physics, Federico Santa María Technical University, Valparaíso, Chile, where he founded the Group of Applied Magnetism and Spintronic in 2016. He has authored or co-authored over100 peer-reviewed articles published in international journals and in the proceedings of international conferences. His current research interests include magnetic materials in the shape of thin films, ribbons, and wires, sensors, and spintronics.
