Charles M. Swenson (M'83) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Utah State University, Logan, in 1985 and 1989, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1992. He is currently a Professor of electrical and computer engineering and the Director of the Center for Space Engineering at Utah State University. He teaches graduate level courses in the area of space engineering and space science. His research activities are split between space science, space science instrumentation, and systems engineering for small satellites. He served as the Principal Scientist throughout the development of the Floating Potential Measurement Unit for the International Space Station. Dr. Swenson is a member of the American Geophysical Union.
