Céline Lichtensteiger was born September 22, 1978, in Mulhouse, France. She graduated at Chester County High School in Tennessee, in 1996, and obtained the “Baccalauréat scientifique,” speciality mathematics at Lycée des Glieres in France, 1997. She obtained her diploma in solid state physics at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2001. She is currently working on her Ph.D. degree on ferroelectric size effects in the group of Prof. Jean-Marc Triscone at the University of Geneva.
