Chae-Man Lim is Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of Intensive Care Units at the Asan Medical Centre, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, in Seoul, Korea. Professor Lim was Chair of the Scientific Committee for the 12th World Congress of the Federation in 2015 and is the author of over 135 peer-reviewed papers. Professor Lim has been the recipient of several awards including; 1998 Respiratory Care Specialty Award, The Society of Critical Care Medicine; 2001 RSNA Certificate of Merit on ‘Education Exhibit’, The Radiological Society of North America; 2008 Annual Scientific Awards, The Society of Critical Care Medicine. Professor Lim’s areas of professional expertise include mechanical ventilation/high-flow oxygen therapy, diaphragm, weaning issues, airway disease and blood gas analysis.
