I am interested in understanding how marine biogeochemistry and ecosystems are affected by pollution and climate change. I use numerical ocean and Earth System Models to analyze isotopic ratios of important marine elements, which provide additional constraints on biogeochemical cycling and ecosystem dynamics in the modern ocean, as well as during past climate change events recorded in ocean sediments. This helps us better predict changes to future ocean biogeochemistry, ecosystems, and climate.
