Bin Yang, Honorary Professor, currently works at the Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, University of Leicester. Bin does research in Systems Biology, Immunology and Human Biology, with focuses on mechanisms and interventions of acute kidney injury and associated chronic kidney disease. The aims of studies are to define and validate potential biomarkers in both animal and human samples, and also to evaluate the short and long-term effects and cell target delivery of siRNA, erythropoietin (EPO) and its derivatives HBSP and CHBP, both of which combine with only innate repair receptor EPOR/cR, so have tissue protective roles without erythropoiesis.
