My research interests have encompassed a range of areas, including machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, and computational advertising. I have had the privilege of sharing my findings through the publication of over 40 papers in esteemed international conferences and journals, such as KDD, WWW, SIGIR, WSDM, CIKM, ECML, ICDM, ACM MM, IEEE TKDE, and IRJ, among others. Additionally, I have made contributions to Microsoft Bing, BingAds, and XiaoIce, having developed and implemented more than 10 techniques. I have been granted or have pending 25 U.S. patents.

An essential aspect of my professional journey has been mentoring over 30 interns from esteemed universities in China, the U.S.A., Korea, and other countries. This opportunity has allowed me to nurture emerging talent and contribute to their growth and development.
