I'm currently working on understanding how root microbiome assemble. We have simplified its population using synthetic communities (SynCom) and differential fluorescent markers (DFM) to differentiate up to 7 strains at the same time. We are using mainly flow cytometry to quantify them. As well we have adapted a barcoded-mutant library method that will allow us tu underpin the gene determinants that drives this plant-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions.
