Beatrice M. S. Giambastiani currently works at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences BiGeA, University of Bologna. Beatrice carries out her research in the field of hydrogeology, especially in coastal areas. Her research interests are: groundwater and transport numerical modelling, saltwater intrusion in coastal aquifers, and water resource management in the low-lying coastal area. Currently she focuses her research on integrated coastal management, recovery and restoration of dunes, and groundwater and surface water monitoring. She collaborates with several national and international institutions.
