Arcangelo Merla received the Ph.D. degree in biomedical technology from the University of Chieti–Pescara and the M.S. degree in physics from the University of Bologna. He is currently an Associate Professor of applied physics with the Department of Engineering and Geology, G. d’Annunzio University of Chieti–Pescara, Chieti, Italy. He has extensive scientific production with over 120 international articles. His research interests include biomedical imaging and modeling, with special emphasis on thermal infrared imaging and optical imaging and their applications in medicine and applied psychophysiology. His research interest includes the interaction of homo-machine.
