Antonio Gigantino

Antonio Gigantino (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) was born in Scafati, Italy, in 1995. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees (cum laude) in aerospace engineering in 2018 and 2021, respectively, from the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, where he is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering. His research interests include distributed synthetic aperture radar, remote sensing systems from space, and data processing and telecommunications. He carried out research activities for the same university as a Research Fellow for almost a year. Mr. Gigantino was a recipient of the 2022 “Frank Marzano” Best Remote Sensing M.Sc. Thesis Award in 2023, organized by IEEE GRS Central-North and South Italy chapters. Together with team “MATES,” he was also a recipient of the T-Tec 2020 contest organized by Telespazio S.p.A with a project idea of a telecommunication system around Mars.
