My main scientific interest is the determination of trace elements in industrial, geological, food, medical and environmental materials using nuclear and atomic spectroscopic techniques (INAA, XRF, PIXE, PIGE, AAS, ICP-MS, ICP-AES) and SEM analysis of materials micro-structure. Also, I am involved in study of heavy metals atmospheric deposition using mosses as biomonitors, investigation of environmental and food radioactivity and modeling new shielding materials for nuclear radiation protection.
