Andrey Sivachenko

Andrey Y. Sivachenko received his M. Sc. degree in physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow, Russia, in 1992 and had been working at General Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1999, he obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, at the Department of Chemical Physics. In 1999–2001, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Physics of the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. He later joined Myriad Porteomics, Inc. (now Prolexys Pharmaceuticals) in Salt Lake City, where he worked as a scientist until 2004, participating in large-scale proteomics data characterization, analysis, and knowledge discovery projects. At present, he is a senior staff scientist at Ariadne Genomics, Inc., Rockville, Maryland, and is working on statistical analysis of system-wide biological data sets and statistical inference in system biology. His current research interests include large-scale system properties of biological networks, regulatory networks and biological pathway prediction, modeling, integration and representation of heterogeneous data, application and development of exploratory and predictive statistical analysis methods, and visualization approaches to genomic and proteomic data.
