My educational background is physical geography (landscape ecology, Dipl., Munster/DE) and botany (paleoecology, PhD, Tromsø/NO). My speciality is dendroclimatology, i.e, climate-response of trees and climate reconstruction based on tree-rings. Since 2009, I am selfemployed, offering dendrochronological dating, wood identification and related services. At NINA (22 %) I study the climate of the past millennium and forest response to climate change in Romania (EEA project CLIMFOR, Univ. Suceava).
