Abhi is a Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University Medical School and the head of Adaptive Decision-making Lab at Institute of Neuroscience. Abhi did his D.Phil. at University of Oxford as a Felix Scholar studying spike timing-dependent synaptic plasticity in cortical circuits. He was a Simons Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) studying the role of inhibition in neurodevelopmental disorders and a Teaching Fellow in Neurobiology at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University. He then moved to the University of Zürich as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow and NARSAD Young Investigator and worked on flexibility of decision-making.
