Amit Vishwas received the B.Tech degree in information technology from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India, and the M.Eng. degree in electrical and computer engineering and the M.S. degree in astronomy from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, in 2009, 2010, and 2014, respectively. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in astronomy at Cornell University. His research interests include spectroscopic studies of galaxies in the early universe using redshifted far-IR forbidden line emission to characterize their environment and star formation activity, TES bolometer characterization, and submillimeter instrumentation.
