Bio
Aleksey D. Andreev received the Ph.D. degree in 1997 on the theory of Auger recombination in semiconductor quantum well (QW) structures from Ioffe Institute, St.-Petersburg, Russia.
He is currently with the Department of Physics, Advanced Technology Institute, University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. He has engaged in research on various aspects of quantum well devices, and developed a plane-wave expansion method for electronic structure calculations of quantum dots (QDs). He has authored or coauthored more than 80 papers published in refereed journals. His current research interests include quantum transport, spintronics, QDs, and nanotubes.
